This page explains the cookies Mobius uses, and what you can control. We have deliberately kept it short, because there is not much to explain.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. Some are needed for a site or service to work; others are used to measure or advertise.

This website

mobiuscapacity.com sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no third-party script measuring your visit. Nothing on these pages needs your consent, because nothing on them is stored on your device.

The Mobius app

Signing in is different, and the app stores a few things on your device because it cannot work otherwise. The law here is about storing or reading anything on your device, not about the word "cookie", so this covers the rest of it too.

— A sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in. It cannot be read by script on the page, and it is cleared when you sign out.

— Your appearance choice — light or dark — remembered in your browser so the app opens the way you left it.

— A few things kept for the length of one visit: which door you came in by, an invitation you are part-way through accepting, and an identifier that lets us count a visit without identifying you. These are gone when you close the tab.

What we do not do

We set nothing for advertising, nothing that follows you to another site, and nothing that goes to a third-party analytics provider. The little we measure about how Mobius is used is described in the privacy notice, is held in our own systems, and is kept for six months.

If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before anything non-essential is stored, and you will be able to decline and carry on using Mobius normally.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking what is listed above will stop parts of Mobius from working — signing in, first of all.

Changes to this page

If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
